Kia Ora, Kia Orana, Malo e lelei, Talofa lava, Fakalofa lahi atu, Bula Vinaka, Greetings

Dear Parents and Caregivers

Thank you for all of your support for what has been a very interesting year. Thank you for supporting your tamariki and BMPS. Thank you BMPS staff for going above and beyond for our BMPS students and thank you tamariki for your commitment, resilience and for making this year a great year. The highlights of our year were most definitely the BMPS 60th jubilee week and the incredible celebration to farewell Alan. What a way to celebrate 60 years!

We would like to again congratulate Mrs Jomi van der Linde and Miss Tanaka Chitsamatanga who are now fully registered teachers..

This week we farewell Mandy MacJames, Anu Singh and Neil Ackermann. We thank them for their passion, care and for all that they have done for BMPS. We wish them well on their new adventure. Please join us on Thursday at 10am to thank and farewell our amazing kaiako. You will find a link to this online assembly below.

For 2022 we welcome Anthony Curry who will be an Assistant Principal at BMPS. We know that Anthony is going to enjoy working with our amazing BMPS tamariki, staff and community.

We would like to acknowledge Engi Ngaau who has served on BMPS Board of Trustees for the last seven years. Engi has resigned from this position. We would like to thank Engi for all that he has done for our tamariki and school community.

2022 is Looking Good!

You may have heard that everyone in Aotearoa moved to the new COVID-19 Protection Framework/Traffic Light Framework.  If you would  like to learn about this please visit: https://covid19.govt.nz/traffic-lights/covid-19-protection-framework/

What it means for BMPS

Next year we will all be back at BMPS regardless of the setting. Under the Traffic Light Framework schools remain open at all levels. This is great news and means that we can plan for a great 2022!

We will be in touch before the term begins to share the organisation and safety measures in place.

A few reminders for term one 2022:

  • All tamariki are expected to wear their summer uniform.
  • All tamariki will need their stationery for the beginning of term one. You will receive an email this week with your child’s class for next year and the stationery required.
