Uniform and Stationery

The children at Bairds Mainfreight Primary School wear a uniform which is only available through our school office. Stationery packs are also available for all class levels and are available at the school office.

All children at Bairds Mainfreight Primary School are expected to wear a clean, tidy correct school uniform. The compulsory uniform includes:

• Red Polo Shirt with embroidered Mainfreight school logo (summer)
• Red Long Sleeve Polo with embroidered Mainfreight logo (winder only)
• Red Polar Fleece with embroidered Mainfreight logo
• Sun Mainfreight cap
• Plain navy blue shorts (summer & winter) or long pants (winter only)

School Hats

It is compulsory for all children to wear a school Mainfreight cap during Terms 1 and 4. This means all children can play safely in the sun. If a child loses their Mainfreight cap they must replace it with one purchased through the school office. Children who do not have a Mainfreight cap are to play in the shade by the side of the school hall or spend some time in the library in their break time. All New Entrant children will receive a free hat. All other children should be a Mainfreight hat from the office.

Jewellery

A culturally appropriate necklace may be worn due to its spiritual significance to the owner. Bracelets and other necklaces are not permitted due to safety reasons at play. Also due to safety reasons we consider that only one pair of small stud earrings worn in the ears is appropriate at school. Sleepers or hoop earrings are not permitted due to the fact that these can be dangerous during physical education and play times.
